Man killed after car crashes into tree

TANGKAK - A man died after he lost control of the car and crashed into a tree at Taman Sri Jaya, Bukit Gambir here earlier today.

Bukit Gambir Fire and Rescue station commander Senior Fire Officer II Jahairi Shukor said he received a distress call on the incident at 2.46 am.

"The accident involved a Proton Wira car driven by a 32-year-old man that had lost control and hit the tree.

“Victim was pinned at the driver's side and the firemen used special equipment to extricate him," he said in a statement on Sunday.

He said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medics and the operation ended at 3.29am.
