KUCHING, Jan 4 — A man died after a house collapsed at Lorong 17, Jalan Stampin Baru here today.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the victim identified as Lim Inn Tong was pulled from the debris at 4.05am and pronounced dead by a Health Ministry medical officer.
“The operations commander reported a single-storey house had collapsed, and information from the public indicated a victim was trapped inside the house,” Bomba said in a press statement.
The rescue team conducted a search at the scene and found the unconscious victim buried under the wreckage.
The victim was handed over to the police for further action after confirmation of his death. — The Borneo Post
