KOTA KINABALU: A 27-year-old man died and another was injured after the Myvi they were travelling in skidded and plunged into a monsoon drain at Taman Asli, here, early Saturday.
The deceased, identified as Mohd Rahan Zainal, from Semporna, was unemployed.
The survivor, aged 31, was taken to the hospital following the 5am accident.
The survivor does odd jobs working on contracts.
The driver was believed to have lost control of the vehicle before it veered into the drain.
Kota Kinabalu Police Inspector Broimen and Sergeant Fazly were at the scene to investigate.
A fire and rescue team was also at the scene to assist.
