SANDAKAN: A local was killed when his Ford Ranger veered off course and crashed into a tree on the road divider at Batu Sapi Road on Monday afternoon.

District Police Chief Abdul Fuad Abdul Malek said the victim was travelling from the city centre towards Batu Sapi when it happened at 2pm.

Advertisement (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});“The 45-year-old victim was driving alone. Upon reaching the scene, he lost control of his vehicle, veering into the centre of the road and striking a tree on the divider.

“The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body has been sent to the Duchess of Kent Hospital’s Forensic Unit for an autopsy,” he said.
