TAWAU: A 68-year-old man died after being hit by a four-wheel drive (4WD) while crossing the road at Batu 14, Jalan Apas, Monday (Oct 3).
Tawau Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the victim was reported to have died at the scene due to severe injuries.
He said the accident happened when the 56-year-old 4WD driver was travelling from Semporna to Tawau town.
The driver was not injured in the incident.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987.
