- Trevor Dunkley, 66, has pleaded guilty at Wolverhampton Crown Court to the 1998 murder of mother-of-seven Patricia Lashley.
- Dunkley also admitted to preventing a lawful burial, confessing that he hid her body in a cellar where it decomposed.
- He revealed to police that he later disposed of her skeletal remains in household bins when moving house nearly a year later.
- The victim's body has never been recovered, with charges brought entirely on the basis of Dunkley's voluntary confession.
- Dunkley has been remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced on 6 November.
