A man was spotted at a shopping mall in Penang allegedly attempting to fake road accidents by lunging onto the front of moving vehicles.

According to a post by Penang Kini, the man reportedly dashed out and lay across a car bonnet in what appeared to be an attempt to extort money from drivers.

The incident occurred at a parking lot and has sparked concern among the public.

Public urged to report immediately

The original post advised drivers to immediately lodge a police report if faced with a similar situation.

Several netizens commented that installing a dashcam is essential for protecting oneself in such encounters.

The post has since received over 1,300 likes and a wave of reactions from social media users, many of whom expressed disbelief and concern.
