- John McNeil, 56, has avoided a prison sentence at Glasgow Sheriff Court and was ordered to complete 300 hours of unpaid work alongside a six-month home curfew after being caught with over £14,000 worth of drugs.
- Police intercepted the vehicle on the M74 in Glasgow in April 2023, where a sniffer dog found £4,640 worth of cocaine and £10,050 worth of heroin hidden under the front passenger seat.
- Officers also discovered a stolen lamb named Pablo eating a bag of chips on the back seat of the car, which was later safely returned to its Lanarkshire farm.
- Sheriff Tony Kelly opted against sending McNeil to prison after being told the risk of re-offending has been assessed as low.
- The driver, Lindsey Sangster, was previously ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and received an 18-month driving ban for driving under the influence of drugs.
