
Kota Kinabalu: A 44-year-old site manager charged with raping his daughter, will go trial on March 13-14, next year.
Sessions Court Judge Elsie Primus set the date for the man when his case was brought up for mention.
The court was informed that chemist and medical reports were ready.
The court also set another further mention date on Jan 27, next year.
The man is accused of raping his 11-year-old daughter at 1.57pm on Dec 30, 2021 at a house in Inanam.
The offence under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code carries a jail term of between eight and 30 years, and whipping at least 10 strokes of the cane, on conviction.
The court extended the bail offered to the man.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Tham Pou Jin appeared for the prosecution while counsel Bartholomew Jinggulam defended the man.
