- The club purchased a 25-acre triangular plot located approximately 350 metres from Old Trafford at market value, and is confident of securing the remaining necessary land for the £2 billion project.
- The ambitious project, spearheaded by co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, aims to construct the largest stadium in the United Kingdom and is intended to contribute significantly to the wider regeneration of the Trafford area.
- This development is part of a larger 370-acre regeneration initiative, forecast to deliver around 15,000 new homes, create over 90,000 jobs nationally, and add more than £7 billion annually to the British economy.
- Manchester United has announced that a formal consultation period regarding the new ground will commence on 9 July, with a commitment to engage with supporters throughout the process.
