Manchester United and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe are set to announce their partnership.

The INEOS chief is investing more than a billion pounds to buy 25 percent of the Old Trafford club.

Per Sky News, Ratcliffe and United will issue a statement about the investment next week.

The club want to ensure that boyhood supporter Ratcliffe is brought into the fold quickly.

He will assume sporting control of United, while also appointing the next chief executive.

The Glazer family will still remain the majority shareholders at Manchester United.
