Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is putting together a leadership group for his squad.
Ten Hag has already stamped his authority by removing Harry Maguire as club captain.
Bruno Fernandes will take on the role, having captained the side for most of the games last season, as Maguire was not a regular starter.
Per The Mirror, United will soon have a leadership group going into the new Premier League season.
Fernandes will lead that group, but other senior players such as Raphael Varane and Casemiro may also feature.
Whether Maguire finds his way into that group is not yet clear, as he did not don the armband when he came on during a friendly against Arsenal over the weekend.
