Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag says Anthony Martial could make Sunday's clash with Newcastle.
Martial missed the Europa League win over Omonia Nicosia with a back problem and has been absent for eight of United's 12 games this season, having sustained hamstring and Achilles injuries in July and August.
Harry Maguire is still unavailable with a thigh strain but could resume full training next week.
"Anthony Martial can be but we have to wait to see how he develops in the coming hours," United manager Ten Hag said. "Harry Maguire will not make this [game] but it doesn't take long, I think. I think next week he'll be back in team training or over [the] next week."
