United technical John Murtough has been left angered by Chelsea's negotiating tactics.
United have offered 50m and 55m, with Chelsea holding out for 65m.
The Manchester Evening News says Murtough believes Chelsea are overpricing Mount given he has a year left on his current deal.
United are prepared to walk away as they do not want to overpay with the need for available cash for a striker signing also this summer.
