Newcastle United sporting director Dan Ashworth is a serious Manchester United target.
The INEOS group, led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, are moving in to buy a 25 percent stake in United.
INEOS will then be in charge of sporting matters at United, with Ratcliffe eager to sort out the club's recruitment.
Per the Manchester Evening News, Ashworth is at the top of the club's list for the sporting director job.
Current football director John Murtough is seen positively around the club and wants to stay.
However, he may have a different role under INEOS, should he choose to remain, as compared to his present position.
