Manchester United star Raphael Varane has spoken about the levels they must reach in future games.
The Red Devils were fast out of the blocks in their 2-1 Premier League win against Liverpool on Monday at Old Trafford.
While Varane was delighted at that display, in which he started, he admits the team must show such intensity from the start in all their games if they are to succeed this season.
"It's difficult to explain why but we didn't start the games with the same intensity, with the same fighting spirit," he said post-match.
"We had the motivation but it's difficult to explain why it was starting with this low energy.
"Football, it's about energy, it's about when you have to push, when you have to stay calm, when you have to attack. Tonight we show great control. It was a mature performance tonight."
