Manchester United loanee Dean Henderson is out for the remainder of the season.
Henderson was at Nottingham Forest on loan for this campaign, but will play no further part.
He has gone through with surgery on a thigh injury to be fit for pre-season.
He wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of himself in a hospital gown and crutches: "Had surgery today on an ongoing issue.
I'm disappointed to miss the rest of the season but surgery went well and I will be back for pre season. I will be supporting the boys for the remainder of the season!! Let's go YOU REDS".
There is no suggestion as to whether Henderson's future lies at United or another club in the summer.
