Manchester United midfielder Casemiro told manager Erik ten Hag he did not want to play in the FA Cup final.

Casemiro was dropped to the bench for the game by his head coach, which United won 2-1 against Manchester City.

However, the Brazilian veteran is said to have told Ten Hag to remove him from the squad due to injury.

Per BBC Sport, he stated that his hamstring was tight and that he could not make it through any minutes.

The 32-year-old is likely to leave the club in the summer after a disappointing season.

Casemiro was signed from Real Madrid under Ten Hag's say so in the summer of 2022.
