The August 22 meeting looks poised to be a difficult match for United following their opening match home defeat to Brighton.
The hashtag #EmptyOldTrafford has been circulating on social media as supporters look to protest against the Glazers.
Supporters are trying to plan a boycott which will see Old Trafford seats left empty for the crunch home clash against rivals Liverpool.

Another said: "If you love Manchester United then stay out of Old Trafford. It is worth it lads #GlazersSellManUtd #EmptyOldTrafford"
