Manchester United are prepared to pay-off Casemiro and cut him loose.

The Daily Star says United are planning to negotiate a release from his contract at the end of the season.

Casemiro is on 350,000-a-week and still has two years to run on his current deal.

United face a 20m bill to grant Casemiro a free transfer this summer.

But management believe cutting him loose remains the best move due to him being the equal highest paid at the club. There is the concern future top transfer targets will be demanding financial parity. Hence, clearing his wages off the books is viewed as the best option.
