Manchester United are willing to negotiate a deal for Joao Neves at the end of the season.
The Benfica midfielder is a priority target for United in 2024.
And while they'd like to sign Neves immediately, United are prepared to wait until the summer, says the Mirror.
Neves' deal with Benfica carries a buyout clause set at 103m.
Benfica coach Roger Schmidt recently said: We are halfway through the season and we have big goals. We certainly won't let any of these players leave. We need them and no one wants to leave, so there's no question."
