Perak police chief Datuk Azizi Mat Aris, who confirmed the matter, said the man will face charges under Section 506 of the Penal Code and Section 307 of the same code for attempted murder, online news outlet Sinar Harian reported today.

“A court order was issued yesterday (Wednesday), and the suspect will be taken from Sungai Petani Prison in Kedah for the charges tomorrow,” he was quoted as saying on Wednesday.
