
BEAUFORT: Police arrested a man and seized five live ammunition in an operation in Kampung Suasa and Bangkalalak.
The bullet is believed to be used for ‘bakakuk’ (homemade gun).
District Police Chief DSP Ismail Abdullah said the operation involved 24 police officers led by him from 7pm-11pm, Thursday.
The man in his 40s was arrested at an unnumbered house in Kampung Suasa, and the bullets were hidden in a bag.

He added that the case is investigated under Section 8(a) of the Arms Act 1960.
Meanwhile, the police also checked eight men in the operation.
“Five local teenagers were positive for Syabu,” he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
