Manchester United receive lucrative deal for Amazon ‘All or Nothing’ documentary

Manchester United have signed a record-breaking deal with Amazon for an All Or Nothing documentary on Michael Carrick’s team this season.

The behind-the-scenes show marks a new direction from United, who have traditionally been reluctant to grant outsiders access.

But they claim they have agreed the highest fee for any comparable sport documentary for the Prime Video show, which will be broadcast in the summer of 2027, which is likely to be in excess of £10m.

It will help their finances, with the club owing more than £1bn and recently taking out a $550m bond at a higher interest rate.

United had been in talks with Amazon and other companies about producing a show covering the past season but former head coach Ruben Amorim was against the idea.

Since then, Amorim has been replaced by Carrick, whose relationships with the players have been more harmonious so far but which might make the show less dramatic.

Shooting for the Amazon documentary will begin in pre-season and will cover the women’s and academy teams as well as the men’s side.
