BJP leader and Dharamsala MLA Sudhir Sharma on Saturday hailed his party’s victory in the Dharamsala Municipal Corporation elections, calling it a clear rejection of the ruling Congress government.
“The people of Dharamsala have delivered a strong mandate in favour of development-oriented governance and against the anti-people policies of the Congress government,” Sharma said, adding that the result reflects growing public anger towards the state government.
He alleged that the Congress administration had failed to address the concerns of employees, youth, women, traders and the general public.
Attributing the victory to the welfare initiatives and development model of the Union Government, Sharma thanked the voters and congratulated the winning BJP candidates and party workers. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to accelerating the city’s development and meeting public expectations.
