MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Manila has released P350 million for the mid-year bonus of about 8,000 city hall employees.
Speaking at the weekly flag-raising ceremony, Mayor Isko Moreno said the release was initially scheduled for the previous week but was held back due to civil service rules prohibiting payouts before the 15th of the month.
"Last Thursday, I signed the release of almost P350 million for your mid-year bonus…Later at twelve o'clock in the afternoon, you can claim it," Moreno said.
