MANILA City Mayor Isko Moreno on Wednesday announced the release of P476.488 million in allowance obligations for senior citizens, solo parents, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
In a Facebook live broadcast, Moreno said the disbursement will cover unpaid allowances from September to December 2025 for solo parents and PWDs, and from October to December 2025 for senior citizens.
He said that a total of 282,040 beneficiaries are set to receive the assistance, with payouts scheduled from Jan. 28 to 30.
The payout schedule will be implemented by district, with Districts 1 and 2 scheduled for Jan. 28, Districts 3 and 4 for Jan. 29, and Districts 5 and 6 on Jan. 30.
A total of 205,505 senior citizens will receive P325.839 million, while allowances for 16,673 solo parents will amount to P33.346 million.
Meanwhile, 49,687 adult PWDs will receive P97.458 million, with an additional P19.845 million allocated for 10,175 PWD minors.
Moreno also expressed his gratitude to Manila’s taxpayers, crediting them for making the program possible.
“Thank you so much to the taxpayers of the City of Manila. Because of you, we can deliver the services to our fellow Manileños,” he said in Filipino.
