THE Manila Police District (MPD) announced that several roads will be closed for the upcoming Mapúa Run 2026 on early Sunday, June 21.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, the MPD said the road closures around Intramuros will begin at 2:30 a.m.
The affected roads include the northbound lane of the Binondo-Intramuros bridge, Riverside Drive and its access roads near the Manila Central Post Office, and a portion of Magallanes Drive from the southbound lane of Jones Bridge to Plaza Mexico.
Also affected by the road closures are Victoria Gate, General Luna Gate, Muralla Street from General Luna to Andres Soriano Avenue, Sta. Lucia Street, Anda Street and portions of Soriano Avenue.
The MPD urged motorists to follow the issued rerouting schemes to avoid delays while the abovementioned roads are still closed.
For vehicles coming from Jones, MacArthur and Quezon bridges and heading toward the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard, the MPD said they will be redirected through P. Burgos Avenue via Lagusnilad and Taft Avenue.
Meanwhile, motorists traveling on the Binondo-Intramuros Bridge southbound lane will be advised to turn left onto Andres Soriano Avenue and proceed to Anda Circle before continuing to their destinations.
Those coming from Maria Orosa Street and intending to pass through General Luna Street will be rerouted via the Round Table before turning right to P. Burgos Avenue.
