Manny Pacquiao is back in the fight game.
The 46 year old has just announced that he will be returning to the ring and coming out of retirement to fight Mario Barrios for the WBC title on July 19 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
It seems the PacMan is having quite the media run and he doesn’t want to lose his momentum (and training) from his enlistment into the hit show, Physical 100.
16 years his senior, Manny Pacquiao’s record of 62 wins and 8 losses goes up against Barrios’ record of 29 wins and 2 losses.
Pacquiao confirmed his decision with the statement, “I’m back.” followed by a few clips of his pad work, which looked crisp and fast.
While boxing has somewhat become a spectacle with GOAT after GOAT coming out of retirement to face off in exhibition matches, this title fight looks like Pacquiao is falling back in love with the sport after his side quests in politics and basketball.
For those looking to keep up with how his training is going, Manny Pacquiao has been updating fans with his training footage over on Instagram leading up the the fight.
