
About a dozen people have been injured in Russia's latest attacks on Ukraine, officials in the war-torn country said on Monday.
In the border city of Kharkiv in north-eastern Ukraine, two people were injured and two apartment blocks were hit, Governor Oleh Syniehubov wrote on Telegram. A woman was also injured in the small town of Bohodukhiv, he reported.
Three people were also injured during the night in the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson, where Russian forces shelled the city with artillery, hitting a residential building at around 1:30 am, the city administration said.
The victims were identified as two men aged 31 and 61, and a woman, 57. They suffered blast injuries, closed head injuries and acoustic trauma. The woman also suffered a bruised forearm, city officials reported on Telegram.
Four other people were injured in region, the authorities said, although it was unclear from this information whether the victims were hit during the night or in the course of the previous day.
Four people were injured in the Dnipropetrovsk region. A 54-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries, Governor Oleksandr Hansha said on Monday morning. He did not provide details on the time of the attacks.
Ukraine has been defending itself with Western help for more than four years against Russia's war of aggression.
