Kota Kinabalu: An end-of-life vehicle policy will be impractical without a good public transport network, says Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) Tanjung Aru Division Chief Hiew Choon Yu.
Welcoming the decision of Transport Minister Anthony Loke not to implement the policy, he urged the Government to improve public transportation in the State, especially Kota Kinabalu and its surrounding areas, saying Sabahans too have the right to enjoy a better public transportation system.
“Sabah’s public transportation system has not improved in the past 10 years. As more residential areas are developed, there is no corresponding public transportation system support.
