Temperatures are set to rise again as another heatwave is in store for the UK, with the capital set to face scorching heat.
Forecasters say temperatures will soar to the low 30s next week, hitting a peak of 34C on Thursday or Friday.
While the south and southeast stay mostly drier and warm on Sunday in the mid to high 20s, the Met Office said conditions in the north and west are forecast to turn more changeable, with showers or longer spells of rain - heaviest and most frequent.
A yellow weather warning for rain has been issued for western parts of Scotland from 5pm today until 10am on Monday morning.
The Met Office said: “20-40 mm is expected widely within the warning area through this period, with 50-75 mm in the most mountainous areas. There is a chance that the most exposed spots could see close to 100 mm.”

Temperatures are set to be more variable in the south west and further north as temperatures remain in the low twenties for Cardiff and Manchester.
But in the south it will stay largely dry as temperatures increase, with temperatures shooting to 29C in the capital by 6pm on Sunday, before jumping to 32C on Monday.

It comes as the Met Office marked the hottest June on record for England, and the second warmest in Wales.
Temperatures broke the previous record of 35.6C set in Southampton in June 1976 on three consecutive days last week, with a new record temperature provisionally set in Lingwood, Norfolk, on Friday, as the mercury climbed to 37.7C.
