MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has named former Taguig City mayor Lino Cayetano as the new general manager of state-owned network PTV-4, Malacañang confirmed on Wednesday.
Cayetano, also a television and film director, will take over the reins from Maria Lourdes Fagar.
“I would also like to extend my profound gratitude to GM Fragar for her service to the station and the nation,” Presidential Communications Office (PCO) acting Secretary Dave Gomez said in a statement.
“Former Mayor Cayetano brings with him a rare wealth of experience from the media, the private and the public sector that would certainly take PTV-4 to greater heights in our ever-evolving multi-media landscape,” he addd.
