Marcos highlights gains in Filipino students’ reading, math, science scores

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reported on Tuesday that Filipino students improved in reading, mathematics, and science, a milestone only a few countries have achieved.

In a video message, Maros cited a report from the Programme for International Student Assessment, noting that Filipino students' scores improved across all domains.

“It is written here that the Philippines is among the few education systems improving across all domains. The Philippines is considered one of the fastest improving educational systems globally, with the strongest long-term improvement in reading amongst participating systems,” Marcos said.

“Only a few countries have achieved that kind of improvement like what we see in our educational system,” the president enthused.

He vowed that the government will continue supporting students to help secure a better future for them.
