
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was placed under "medical observation" overnight after experiencing “discomfort,” Malacañang disclosed on Thursday.
“His doctors advised rest and monitoring, and his condition remains stable,” Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary Claire Castro said in a briefing.
Marcos, who has since returned to the Palace, would continue to "carry out his responsibilities while under medical observation, said Castro.
The chief executive skipped the Ten Outstanding Young Men awarding ceremony earlier in the day and was represented by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto.
