
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday visited Sarangani and General Santos City, as he led the inspection of damaged infrastructure and distribution of aid to residents displaced by the powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake.
The President’s first stop was the municipality of Glan, the hardest hit in Sarangani province, where he conducted an aerial inspection and visited evacuees.
He proceeded to General Santos City where he led the distribution of relief goods and financial assistance.
Food packs and ₱5,000 cash aid were distributed to 4,000 workers who lost their jobs.
Marcos also inspected damaged schools .
It was the second time Marcos went to areas affected by last week’s 7.8 magnitude temblor.
