MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos will not hesitate to dismiss anyone from the government found to be covering up infrastructure project irregularities, Malacañang said on Monday.
This comes after Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon clarified his earlier statement that investigations into infrastructure irregularities in Taguig City remain ongoing and are still subject to further validation.
In a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Marcos maintains a zero-tolerance policy for illicit acts that prejudice the government.
"Definitely, if there is any wrongdoing within the DPWH and friends or allies are being shielded, the President will not hesitate to fire those responsible," Castro said in Filipino.
