Mark Travers has vowed to keep progressing after penning a new contract with Bournemouth.

The Irish goalkeeper signed a new contract with the Cherries in June, keeping him at Vitality Stadium until the end of the 2026-27 campaign.

Travers told the Daily Echo: "It's great to be in this position so early in my career, I'm just so looking forward to it and excited for the challenge ahead.

"I mean it's always nice to sign a new long-term contract with the club - that's always great individually, but I think if you get happy with that and satisfied, you'd be left behind.

"So I've got to come in every day and push as hard as I can and train like I don't have that deal, in a way.

"It's a good opportunity for me to get out on the pitch and play football and enjoy it, definitely."
