- Marvel Studios has announced that a new Ghost Rider film is in development and will be released in 2028.
- The film will star Ryan Gosling as the motorbike-riding hero, and will be directed by Shawn Levy, who also directed Deadpool & Wolverine and Free Guy.
- The pair are currently working together on the upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter film, and Levy said that he and Gosling spent a lot of their downtime on set swapping ideas about Ghost Rider.
- “As Ryan started talking about his vision for this character, we started riffing ... and I finally said, “Bro, let’s ride’,” Levy said.
- The announcement was made at the San Diego Comic-Con, with the audience loudly cheering when Gosling and Levy stepped on stage.
