GranTurismo Folgore: A Supercar Reimagined
Maserati GranTurismo Folgore is the brand’s first all-electric vehicle, representing a significant step in Maserati’s electrification strategy. It combines the iconic GranTurismo design with a 100% electric powertrain.
The Folgore features a “T-bone” shaped battery pack for a low center of gravity and utilizes lightweight materials like aluminum and magnesium. Maserati also highlights the car’s innovative 800-volt architecture, advanced cyber security, and flash-over-the-air features.
This approach is paired with new Atlantis High electrical/electronic architecture, based on canFD messages sent at speeds of up to 2 ms. The system also comes with advanced level 5 cyber-security and flash-over-the-air features. The fulcrum is the Vehicle Domain Control Module (VDCM) master controller, a 100% Maserati project consisting of the software that provides 360° control of all the most important car systems, for the best driving experience in all conditions.
Three radial motors deliver a combined 761 CV (560 kW), launching the GranTurismo from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 325 km/h.
Beneath its elegant exterior lies a 92.5 kWh battery (83 kWh usable), providing up to 450km of *WLTP-certified range. With an 800-volt architecture, it adds 100 km of range in just five minutes and charges from 20% to 80% percent in only 18 minutes.
Inside, the cabin is a masterclass in minimalist sophistication. High-tech meets high-touch in an interior that redefines touring luxury, while a 270-litre luggage capacity ensures beauty doesn’t come at the expense of utility.
