Just when you thought things might settle down on Malaysian highways, the Mat Rempit are back in the spotlight.
Known for their high-risk antics, these motorcyclists love nothing more than showing off their stunts – leaving everyone else on the road cringing in fear (and annoyance).

It’s the same old script: dangerous moves, risky behaviour, and a viral video to top it off.
This time, the spotlight falls on a new clip making the rounds on social media. Shared by the X account @mynewshub, the video shows these daredevils pulling off ‘fly’ or ‘superman’ stunts, hogging nearly all the lanes on a busy highway like they own the place.
Here’s the twist – the video was allegedly recorded by police officers cruising undercover in a plain car, no fancy Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) logo in sight.
“Using a regular car without the PDRM logo, police recorded the motorcyclists in the middle of their ‘fly’ stunts,” the post stated.
In the video, these riders were too busy living dangerously to realise the police were quietly keeping score.
You can even hear the officers reciting their bike plate numbers like a roll call and taking notes on the highway location, probably planning their next move.
Whether the video is fresh or a blast from the past, one thing’s for sure – it’s sparking a lot of heat.
The comment section? Netizens didn’t hold back, slamming the riders for their reckless behaviour and questioning when they’ll finally grow out of their dangerous obsession with stunts.
“When will these Rempits go extinct? They’re loud and obnoxious, revving their bikes like they’ve got exhaust pipes stuck up their backsides.
What’s so thrilling about lying flat on a bike? The same people are afraid to ride a flying fox without safety gear—where’s the brain, lodged in their behinds?”
