In today’s episode of “mat rempits” making a name for themselves, they’re back at it again with their shenanigans on the roads, caught on camera and causing outrage among netizens.
A video has been making rounds online showing a group of motorcyclists on the highway attempting the “Superman” stunt, all caught on camera.
The person recording was allegedly an off-duty police officer
The video, shared via @mynewshub, shows motorcyclists performing stunts, with a twist where the person recording was allegedly an off-duty police officer.
The post also revealed that the person behind the camera was allegedly a police officer driving an unmarked car without the PDRM logo.
The caption of the post reads,
“In a regular car without the PDRM logo. Police recorded their “flying” stunts. They’re in for it. Just wait, they’ll be picking them up at home soon.”
The police recorded the license plate numbers of each of the motorcyclists
In the video, the motorcyclists were caught in the act of performing a series of dangerous stunts, completely unaware that they were being recorded.
The alleged police officer can be heard repeating the license plate numbers of each motorcyclist and saying,
“On Tuesday, we can take them in.”
Netizens started flooding the comment section with their thoughts and reactions.
“To the individuals riding the bikes in the video, don’t you value your life? This basically means you have the intention to commit suicide. But think about your parents, if you lose your life, they will cry non-stop for at least a month.”
“The police should surprise them by displaying the PDRM logo just to see their reactions. They’ll still get arrested regardless.”
“These ‘mat rempits’ don’t seem to be going away anytime soon. It’s so annoying, especially with those noisy exhausts. What’s so enjoyable about lying flat on a bike? Yet, when it comes to something like a flying fox, they suddenly care about safety, fearing for their lives. They really need to use their brains.”
“Riding recklessly here and there, putting their own lives and the lives of others at risk. When they fall and break their bones, it’s their parents who end up taking care of them, feeding them, cleaning them up, and bathing them.”
