Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen allegedly snubbed a transfer to the club in the past.
The Danish international was at Tottenham in the Premier League for several years before moving to Internazionale.
He then earned a short-term move to Brentford after suffering a heart attack during a Euro 2020 game in 2021.
Per The Athletic, Eriksen could have joined United in 2020, but was not happy at how veteran Juan Mata had been treated by the club.
He was unsure whether he would get regular game time, as he felt his role was similar to Mata's.
Eventually, he did make the move to the Red Devils, but only after coach Erik ten Hag convinced him to sign.
