To choose the next doll in the Mattel Creations x KPop Demon Hunters collection, Mattel announced a takedown battle between Demon Jinu and Sleeping Bag Mira. Now, after a 10-day voting combat, the toymaker has finally revealed the result and winner!
As global toy licensee for the Oscar and Grammy winning animated film KPop Demon Hunters, Mattel is releasing dolls and action figures inspired by the movie. Both Mattel and Hasbro have already shared glimpses of their first collections with fans, which are currently available for pre-order.
Demon Jinu vs Sleeping Bag Mira: The result of the Mattel KPop Demon Hunters doll takedown
On March 19, 2026, Mattel posted a poll on their website to decide their next KPDH doll, allowing fans to choose between Demon Jinu or Sleeping Bag Mira. The poll closed a week later, along with promises that the winning doll would be available for pre-order later this year.
While the poll was active, Mattel shared information on the two dolls, so fans could make an informed decision. After a neck-to-neck fight, it was Demon Jinu that stood victorious. The demonic form of the fan-favourite character will be accompanied by a robe, hanbok, pants, hat, shoes, earrings, bracelet, and hanbok chain. Speaking on the result, the toy manufacturer said, “We look for iconic, fan serving looks from content that we haven’t done, and really benefit from a collector doll treatment.”
Describing the design, Mattel shared, “This design was picked, as we felt that we could really capture the essence of the character in their “Your Idol” Demon form, with premium fabrics and finishes to really bring that visual to life.
This version of Jinu differs from the core line of figurines, as he comes equipped with new accessories and face deco, skin tone, hands, and rooted hair, all with an elevated outfit made with premium execution and fabrics.
Netflix has already confirmed a sequel of the record-breaking movie, set to release in 2029.
