Max Verstappen’s father has claimed the controversy surrounding Red Bull team principal Christian Horner is “driving the team apart.”

Horner’s job has faced intense scrutiny in recent weeks following allegations against him made by a female colleague.

He has always denied the claims.

“It cannot continue this way,” former F1 driver Jos Verstappen - father of the team’s champion Max - said.

“The situation is not good for the team and is driving people apart.”

Despite the controversy, Verstappen and Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez stormed to a one-two finish in the opening F1 race of the 2024 season in Bahrain.
