Maxx Crosby has revealed the unsettling experience he had with the Baltimore Ravens before a potential trade collapsed, describing it as one of the strangest situations of his career.

The Raiders star opened up on how the process unfolded, from the travel to the meetings, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at how quickly a deal can shift.

What stood out most was not just the outcome, but how the entire situation felt from the moment he arrived.

Maxx Crosby Ravens trade trip details highlight chaos

On The Rush podcast, Crosby revealed just how unusual the journey to Baltimore became before the deal ultimately fell apart.

“I’ve gone through some s___ in my life, I can’t lie, but that whole situation was probably one of the most unique, crazy, wild, up-and-down roller coasters I’ve ever been a part of,” Crosby began.

“They flew me to DC, because there weren’t many flights, we flew first class, they flew me to DC because it was the only straight-through and we had to drive two hours from DC all the way to Baltimore after the five-hour flight, bro. That s___ was weak,” he added.

The description underlines how disjointed the process felt, with travel complications setting the tone before any football conversations even began.

It also reflects how quickly a potential move can become uncomfortable when the setup does not feel right from the start.

Maxx Crosby’s Ravens meeting energy raised immediate concern

The turning point came once Crosby arrived and began meeting with team staff, where the tone shifted further.

“You could just tell the energy was off. I dapped him up, he [Jesse Minter] had a blank face. And I’m like, ‘OK.’ I’m not thinking anything of it. Maybe he’s just different. I don’t know him, whatever,” Crosby continued.

He further stated: “I go into the room, they sit me down on the couch and he’s like, ‘Man, I don’t know how to say this, but one of our doctors has concerns with the results, with your knee. Some of them are concerned about the future.”

At the end of the day, Crosby is now focusing on the positives of the failed trade and focusing 100% of his energy on the Raiders.

“I wasn’t supposed to be in Baltimore and that’s it. You know what I mean? I’m meant to be a Raider. It’s through my damn core. That’s it,” he concluded.

Crosby’s reaction now frames it differently, not as a missed opportunity, but as confirmation that staying with the Raiders was the right outcome.
