Kylian Mbappe confirms he is fully fit and aims to play every game for Real Madrid to prepare for the World Cup after recovering from a knee injury.
FRANCE striker Kylian Mbappe says he has fully recovered from a knee injury and is ready to play every remaining game for Real Madrid this season.
The 27-year-old is building towards the World Cup, which begins in June, and wants to be in peak condition for the tournament.
Mbappe missed four league games earlier this year due to a lingering knee issue but returned as a substitute in Madrid’s 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid on Sunday.
He has been named in the France squad for upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Colombia in the United States.
“I have made a 100% recovery,” Mbappe told Spanish newspaper AS.
The forward outlined his plan to arrive at the World Cup in top form by playing and competing for his club.
“I prepared for the last two World Cups in the best way possible, which is to play, score goals, win titles, and fight until the last minute for my club, and this year I am going to do the same to arrive in top form.”
France have been drawn in Group I for the World Cup, alongside Norway, Senegal and the winner of an intercontinental playoff.
The tournament will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
