SHAH ALAM, March 6 — The Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI Foundation has provided immediate assistance to victims of the storm incident at Parit 4 in Sungai Burong, Tanjong Karang this morning.
Its head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said aid was also extended to SK Parit 4 to replace the school’s roof, which will commence tomorrow.
“In response to the strong storm this morning, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari instructed me to visit the affected area to assess the damage and provide immediate assistance to the victims.
“My first stop was SK Parit 4, where I found structural roof damage on the school building, the teachers’ quarters, the canteen, and the car garage. Via the MBI Foundation, an immediate solution will be implemented by replacing the roof, starting tomorrow morning.

“I then visited several storm victims’ homes in the same area, and immediate aid will be provided in coordination with the Sungai Burong state constituency coordinator Maruwan Ahmad,” he said in a Facebook post.
Azri added that he is hopeful the assistance will bring some relief to the affected victims.
Earlier, eight houses were damaged due to the strong storm at Parit 4 this morning. However, no injuries or fatalities were reported in the 7.30am incident.
Following the incident, the state government provided RM500 in aid to all victims whose homes suffered severe damage.
