Scott McTominay struck his 10th goal of the Serie A season as Napoli secured qualification for the Champions League with a 3-0 victory over relegated Pisa.
McTominay opened the scoring in the 20th minute, Amir Rrahmani grabbed a second six minutes later and Rasmus Hojlund netted in injury time as Napoli posted just their second win in six matches.
The victory means they are guaranteed to finish in the top four and they are in a strong position to take second behind champions Inter Milan, with AC Milan and Roma both three points adrift with one match remaining.
It also means conditions have been met to turn Hojlund’s loan from Manchester United into a permanent move.
Napoli were in the ascendancy from the off, with Sam Beukema seeing a shot saved by Adrian Semper and Hojlund heading wide before McTominay gave the visitors the lead, finding the bottom corner with a strike from outside the box.
With 26 minutes gone, it was two, Rrahmani heading in Eljif Elmas’ corner to put Napoli firmly in control.
Filip Stojilkovic provided a rare moment of encouragement for the hosts with a shot over the bar in the 36th minute, while at the other end Semper tipped Elmas’ shot behind.
Pisa began the second half well and Alex Meret was drawn into serious action for the first time with a save to deny Stefano Moreo before Mehdi Leris headed over from the resulting corner.
McTominay then headed Kevin De Bruyne’s cross wide as Napoli sought a third, which arrived in injury time when Pasquale Mazzocchi set up Hojlund for a shot into the bottom corner.
