KUALA LUMPUR - The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has revoked the Malaysia Digital status of NSO Malaysia Sdn Bhd, operator of the Network School in Forest City, Johor, effective immediately.
MDEC said the move follows the Iskandar Puteri City Council’s (MBIP) decision to cancel NSO’s business licence. Under Malaysia Digital conditions, companies must hold valid permits and licences to carry out approved activities and comply with all regulatory requirements.
“The revocation of NSO’s business licence constitutes a breach of this requirement. Accordingly, MDEC is taking immediate action,” the agency said in a statement.
MBIP had earlier issued a Notice to Cease Operations effective today (July 22), citing non‑compliance with licensing conditions and misuse of premises under its jurisdiction.
MDEC stressed that while Malaysia continues to welcome high‑quality digital investments, adherence to national laws and regulations is non‑negotiable.
